What is a Giving Machine?

Light The World Giving Machines are big red vending machines where you can donate special items to those in need through select local and international charities.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints sponsors the machines and covers the costs so that 100% of your donation goes to the charity you choose. This year, there are Light The World Giving Machines in Dallas Fort Worth, Austin, San Antonio, and Houston, Texas.

How it Works

Choose a machine

Each machine at a location offers an identical selection of items representing global and local organizations that do good.

Make your selection

You may donate from a variety of options for each charity, such as clothing, blankets, healthcare needs, goats or chickens, items ranging from $1 to $250.

Swipe your card

Each machine accepts credit cards (swipe and tap) and mobile payments. Sorry, no cash or credit card chips.

Collect your receipt

Enter a phone number or email address to receive a digital receipt. 100% of your donation will go to the applicable charity.
